The Department of Physical Education, Zamorin's Guruvayurappan College, Kozhikode, organized a One-Month Summer Cricket Coaching Camp for the public with the objective of promoting cricket and providing systematic coaching to aspiring players during the summer vacation.

The camp was conducted over a period of one month at the college  ground under the guidance of Department of Physical Education teachers and experienced players. A large number of participants at the age of 10 to 15 years  enrolled in the camp and actively took part in the training sessions.

The coaching programme covered all fundamental aspects of cricket, including batting, bowling, fielding, wicket-keeping, fitness training, and match tactics. Daily sessions began with warm-up exercises and physical conditioning, followed by skill-development drills and practice matches. Participants were also given guidance on sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle practices.

The camp provided an excellent opportunity for young budding talents to improve their technical skills and gain confidence through competitive practice. The enthusiastic participation and dedication of the trainees contributed significantly to the success of the programme.
