The NCC unit of Zamorin’s Guruvayurappan College is the largest unit in the 30 K BN NCC, comprising 160 cadets. The institution is dedicated to instilling discipline, leadership, and a sense of national pride among its members. The unit serves as a platform for holistic development, nurturing the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the cadets. Physical fitness is emphasized through regular drills and adventure activities. Additionally, cadets are encouraged to cultivate strong moral values and ethical principles, shaping them into responsible citizens and future leaders. The unit also provides ample information about the defense sector to the cadets.

 

Beyond its primary mission of military training, it actively engages in various social service activities, enriching the lives of both its members and society. The unit actively participated in Swachhata Pakhwada, a cleaning program held at Calicut railway station, Puneet Sagar Abhiyan (beach cleaning program), and also participated in several blood donation programs.

 

Through continuous hard work and dedication, the unit has had the chance to participate in several national-level camps. Cadets have participated in the Republic Day camp, Special National Integration camp, and Advanced Leadership camp.
