An Orientation Programme on Cyber Security, Gadget Addiction, Digital Well-being, and the Impacts of Social Media on Youth was conducted on 21/07/2026 at Zamorin's Guruvayurappan College to create awareness among First-Year FYUG students on safe and responsible digital practices.
The programme was hosted by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and was presided over by Dr Sreeranjini, FYUGP Coordinator.
The session was led by Mr. Rangeesh Kadavath from the Cyber Cell, Kerala Police, who delivered an insightful talk on various aspects of cyber safety, the growing concern of gadget addiction, maintaining digital well-being, and the influence of social media on youth behaviour and mental health. He also highlighted practical measures for safe online engagement and responsible use of digital platforms.
The programme proved highly informative and engaging, helping students develop awareness about the challenges and responsibilities of digital life in the modern era.
