Dr. Aswathi R's research spans Nanomaterial Chemistry, Electroanalytical Chemistry, Green Chemistry, and Nano Sensors, with a focus on Materials for Energy Conversion and Storage. Her work involves the synthesis of graphene, MoS₂, and other layered nanomaterials and nanocomposites, followed by their characterization and diverse applications. She also engages in the green synthesis of carbon dots and graphene quantum dots. Dr. Aswathi applies these nanomaterials in nano sensors, adsorption, photocatalysis, and environmental analysis. Additionally, she uses electroanalytical methods for electrochemical sensing of biomolecules and detecting heavy metal ions or environmental hazards. Her research also explores nanomaterials for energy conversion and storage applications.
