Orientation Programme for parents of FYUGP First-Year Studens 2026

An Orientation Programme for the parents of First-Year Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUG) students was conducted at Zamorin's Guruvayurappan College to familiarize them with the academic environment and support systems available on campus.
The programme was presided over by Dr. Rajani B., Principal, who welcomed the gathering and emphasized the importance of active parent-institution collaboration in ensuring the holistic development and academic success of students.
The orientation session was led by Dr. Anoop K., IQAC Coordinator, who provided a comprehensive overview of the college. The session highlighted the institution's vision and mission, academic framework under the FYUG curriculum, student support and mentoring systems, library and digital learning facilities, career guidance, research opportunities, scholarships, grievance redressal mechanisms, anti-ragging measures, and other student welfare initiatives. He also showcased the college's curricular and co-curricular achievements, extension activities, clubs, and various opportunities available for students to develop their academic, social, and leadership skills.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Saleena, Associate Professor, Department of History, who expressed gratitude to the Principal, the resource person, parents, faculty members, and all those who contributed to the successful conduct of the orientation programme.
